Sometimes you only have to go as far as your own backyard to travel to outer space. Eamonn Price is one such lucky guy. His family owns and operates the costume shop responsible for making props, miniatures and costumes for films including “The Martian,” “Gravity,” “Star Trek: The Motion Picture” and “Apollo 13.”
The Price family started WonderWorks, a design and production company in Woodland Hills, California, about 40 years ago. Eamonn’s grandfather, Ray, and father, Brick, worked at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and the experience inspired Brick to create WonderWorks. Today, Eamonn continues the family tradition of turning their love for space technology and intergalactic exploration into a thriving Hollywood business.
