Somini Sengupta, the international climate reporter for The New York Times, has worked in over 40 countries around the world. Next week, she will be joining USC Annenberg to hold an online discussion on how journalism can bring greater awareness to communities most vulnerable to climate change.
Her recent work includes reporting from lithium-rich salt flats in Chile amid a “climate and ecological emergency” to the controversial Glasgow climate summit. Born in Kolkata, India, Sengupta’s first book, “The End of Karma: Hope and Fury Among India’s Young” takes a powerful look at the country’s youth and socioeconomic landscape.
Join Somini Sengupta in conversation on “Lessons from covering global climate change” this coming Tuesday, February 1, 2022, from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. PT.
