Vanessa Wilson caught up with artist JW Pippen at the unveiling of his first sculpture, Jukagtsuzakura, a samurai composed of 30 barrel staves decorated with spray paint, encaustic wax, sumei ink, gold leaf and rice paper.
The sculpture is on display at District Gallery until December 7th.
