The 2014 AxS Festival, presented by the Pasadena Arts Council from September 19 to October 5, explored the intersections of art, science, and curiosity. Its musical performances, science lectures, and architectural takeovers reflected a 21st-century sensibility for cross-disciplinary disruption. Heather Heise was there to hear how two scientists teamed up with composer and USC alum Matthew Brown for an evening of Pasadena-inspired astronomy and music.
