New technology makes it both easier and harder make a film. So, it goes in most fields when it comes to tech. But, as Tom Carroll discovered, feature filmmaking is its own kind of beast – especially when the budget is $35,000. He attended the premiere of “Paris Window,” a film by first-time moviemaker Amanda Kramer, to talk about the pressure exerted by a skeletal budget and how new technology allowed her to manage and make like it look like a million.
Consider Kramer emblematic of the scrimping first-timer in 2017.
