“The Trip to Bountiful,” a special presentation of the Center Theatre Group, opened in Los Angeles on Sept. 26th. Maureen Lee Lenker was there to witness the debut of this sparkling transfer from Broadway. The show, a revival of a 1953 Horton Foote play, first debuted on Broadway in 2013 and was made into a TV movie earlier this year. It comes to LA for a limited engagement with original cast members Cicely Tyson and Vanessa Williams. The play ran at the Ahmanson Theatre until November 2nd.
